What's inside a nixie?

 


This is a nixie tube, you can see the fine wires going to the shaped electrodes.


The electrodes are visible clearly without the glass.

There is uniform spacing between electrodes.


The electrodes in order. The 3 is outermost.

 

 


All ten electrodes clamped together - they are cleverly shaped so as not to obscure each other.
